Sprint with drag resistance behind you. The faster you run, the harder your legs work, building acceleration and speed without expensive gym equipment or coaching.

FEATURES:

  • 145cm x 145cm polyester canopy - expands smoothly during sprints to create consistent air resistance that scales with your speed

  • Adjustable waist belt with secure buckle - fits most body types (waist sizes 60-120cm); rotates 360 degrees without tangling during directional changes

  • Lightweight design (approximately 800g-1kg) - folds compact for transport to field, track, court, or park; no permanent setup required

  • Dynamic air resistance - the faster you accelerate, the stronger the drag force; trains your body to drive harder and push through resistance

  • Tangle-free 360-degree rotation - allows multi-directional sprinting and agility work without parachute catching or wrapping around legs

Running faster requires your body to push against resistance, that's what builds speed and power. This parachute creates drag as you sprint, forcing your legs and glutes to work harder with every stride. The resistance scales with your speed; the faster you run, the stronger the pull becomes. After 2-3 weeks of consistent sprint work with the parachute, you'll notice your top-end speed and acceleration improving. When you take the parachute off, sprinting feels noticeably easier that's the training effect working.

Best used for sprint intervals (20-50 meter repeats), acceleration drills, and speed work on clear, open surfaces (field, track, empty court). Works well for football, basketball, martial arts, and track athletes. Requires open space with minimal obstacles, do not use in crowded areas or around people. Suitable for athletes aged 14+ with developed sprinting technique (beginners should learn proper form before adding resistance). Start with shorter sprints (20-30 meters) and progress to longer distances as legs adapt.

Scalable air resistance that builds sprint speed and acceleration through every sprint rep.

Physical Specifications

  • Canopy Material: Durable polyester cloth (typically 80-150 denier)

  • Canopy Dimensions: 145cm x 145cm (approximately 21,000 cm² surface area)

  • Canopy Shape: Square with reinforced corner stitching

  • Deployed Weight: Approximately 800-1000g total (parachute + belt + connecting cords)

  • Packed Size: Approximately 30cm x 20cm x 10cm (compact bundle for transport)

  • Color Options: Black, blue, red, or yellow (selection at purchase)

Belt & Attachment System

  • Belt Material: Adjustable nylon webbing (approximately 5cm width)

  • Belt Adjustment: Tool-free velcro or snap closures (fits waist sizes 60-120cm)

  • Belt Buckle: Secure plastic or metal buckle rated for high-speed use

  • Buckle Lock: Non-slip design prevents accidental release during sprinting

  • Attachment Points: Heavy-duty stitched connection between belt and parachute cords

  • Cords: Multiple connection points (typically 4-6 cords) distribute resistance evenly

Resistance Characteristics

  • Resistance Type: Dynamic air resistance (scales with running speed)

  • Resistance Range: Minimal resistance at jog pace; maximum resistance at full-sprint speed

  • Drag Force: Estimated 5-20kg equivalent resistance depending on sprint speed

  • Resistance Curve: Non-linear (resistance increases exponentially with speed increases)

  • Speed Threshold: Requires approximately 12-15 km/h running speed for noticeable parachute deployment

  • Parachute Deployment: Smooth expansion; reaches full resistance within 1-2 seconds of acceleration

Durability & Construction

  • Stitching: Double or triple-stitched at all connection points and corners

  • Edge Reinforcement: Reinforced binding around parachute perimeter prevents fraying

  • Cord Material: Heavy-duty synthetic fiber (rated for 20kg+ tension)

  • Belt Stitching: Reinforced at all stress points where cords attach

  • Water Resistance: Polyester fabric resists moisture; air dry after use in wet conditions

Usage & Performance

  • Suitable Activities: Sprint intervals, acceleration drills, speed work, plyometric training, HIIT conditioning

  • Sports Applications: Football drills, basketball conditioning, track and field training, martial arts footwork, general athletic speed development

  • Distance Range: Effective for 20-100+ meter sprints depending on fitness level

  • Sprint Duration: 5-15 seconds per sprint (typical sprint rep); rest 30-60 seconds between reps

  • Training Sessions: 1-2 parachute training sessions weekly (non-consecutive days for recovery)

  • Warm-up: Recommended 5-10 minutes light jogging before parachute sprints

  • Cool-down: 5-10 minutes easy jogging after parachute work to aid recovery

Resistance Adjustment

  • Parachute Size: No manual adjustment; 145cm canopy is fixed size

  • Resistance Modulation: Control resistance through running speed (faster = more resistance) or sprint distance

  • Progression: Increase sprint distance or decrease rest time between reps (not recommended to modify parachute)
